The Red Zebra Lodge at Kambiri Point is ideal for a casual stay overnight – a family seeking an extended public holiday weekend – a weekend conference or group meet-up. Many professors, biologists, zoologists, and other academics from all over the world have stayed at the lodge, as have ornamental fish importers and wild life enthusiasts eager to see their fish in their natural habitat.
The lodge consists of eight double rooms, opening onto a small verandah - each room is 'en-suite' with a shower, toilet and washbasin with hot and cold running water. The rooms hold 1 double or 2 single beds.
Beside the lodge is the Red Zebra café where guests can wine and dine with food prepared by our experienced cooks. Guests have the option of dining indoors or under an open, thatched rondavel overlooking the lake.
There are a number of different options to choose from when at the lodge - both lake tours and land excursions. An interesting walk-about tour can be arranged covering the ornamental fish exporting facility close to the lodge.
"Guests at the rustic, six-room Red Zebra Lodge at Kambiri Point can join underwater safaris to view Lake Malawi’s diverse aquatic life, including the intensely colorful African cichlid fish."
